I think the visiting teacher at Starting Line is very responsible and conscientious. Every time when she visits, she has prepared the learning resource elaborately based on the child's current interest and development. Meanwhile she has explained to me the benefits of the child will gain from the learning experience.
When painting with the child, the visiting teacher was well prepared to set up with resourceful tools which are easily to be cleaned up. She was very observative and patient to scaffold, in order to gradually instil child's interest in art learning area.
Reading to my grand child, so she could sit down and concentrate to the Maori story. Very interactive experience between them! My grand child was always feeling upset when the visiting teacher left.
We really enjoy the playgroup event that Starting Line has organised and prepared. Within the welcoming atmosphere and ukulele play, the visiting teacher empowered the children to read stories, singing and dance, which were very cute and active. These experience were very attractive for both adults and children. Hopefully Starting Line will organise more events like this to enhance the interaction among the peers as well as broaden their vision.

I feel very fortunate to encounter the visiting teacher and educator at Starting Line. I believe that it gives the smooth transition for the child from home setting environment to centre-based environment. It empowers my child to experience the mode of day care in her familiar living environment.
I have also learned from the interaction approach between the educator and my child and the way how to reinforce the positive relationship between my child and myself, so my child will grow in a positive learning environment.
On the aspect of safety, besides the regulations and requirement implemented in accordance with the expectation from Ministry of Education, Starting Line is also equipped with the plan and first aid knowledge and kit for the different kinds of emergent situation. I feel a peace of mind to be with Starting Line.

We have transferred to Starting Line for more than 4 months. We feel strongly the progress and development supported by the teacher from Starting Line. Regardless the training for the educator and the attention for the child, there has been a lot of support received from Starting Line.
Every home visit, visiting teacher will ask meticulously about child's current development, interacting with the child, providing relevant learning resources, toys and learning experiences. Through the valuable experience, my child is able to find her own strength, skills and interests.
We really enjoy the playgroup and events organised by the Starting Line. It's a great opportunity for my daughter's social skills and to learn how to social play with the other children, building up her confidence. Thank you again for the effort and hard work from Starting Line.

About Professional:
Although I am a mother of four-year-old girl, this is my first time to be in the early childhood education industry. There are quite a lot of professional questions to consult with. However, visiting teacher has given the continuous professional support through the approach of online and by phone, which left me a peace of mind in my new job. It feels like there is a specialist behind me and could solve any problems I will face if needed.
About Compassion:
I have been as a full time mother for a long time, but I am still having the passion of having my own career. By coincidence, I have encountered with Starting Line, which gives me the opportunity to look after my family as well as earning the income at the similar level of the registered early childhood teacher. Starting Line will also provide the recent professional information of the ECE industry, which is beneficial for our enhancement of professionals as well as our teaching practice.

The induction normally takes one hour to complete. It has taken two hours for me with the teacher from the Starting Line. Through the whole process, I have a feeling that being a qualified educator is uneasy. There is a lot of professional knowledge to learn, even just simply changing nappies. There is a very specific and overarching policies and procedures to cover the extensive range of perspectives during the childcare, especially including the strategies in the case of emergency. The teacher has been really patient to explain and role model when I have asked many interrupted questions in between.
After a few days of the induction, I went to one family with 12 months old baby for four hours. I have shared with the professional knowledge and philosophy learnt from the child's parents. Based on the knowledge and philosophy, it popped out quite a few of surprise when interacting with children, which is quite useful and practical.
Based on the theory and practice, the visiting teacher is very professional. I was inspired by her profession and a sense of responsibility. For the families who have this professional team as a back up, you could rest assure for your child to receive such a high quality education at home setting.
